journée internationale de l'éducation, citation de Nelson Mandela

What is education?

To get you started, here is a definition of education: Education represents the learning and development of intellectual, moral and physical faculties. Education is above all a human right, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which requires that elementary education be free and compulsory. Education should be accessible to all children.

Education will make it possible to transmit principles to younger generations and to perpetuate the values of a society. It also contributes to personal development: each child will develop his own personality and thanks to education, he/she will be able to integrate socially and professionally.

International Day of Education, what is it for?

The International Day of Education was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2019 (only 4 years ago) to highlight the role of education for peace and development.

These international days are important for informer by highlighting major issues such as access to education. It is also an opportunity to to raise awareness and of implement new actions.

This year we celebrate the International Day of Education
on the subject " Changing course, transforming education ».

Around the world, access to education is improving but inequalities persist: 258 million children and young people still do not go to school, 617 million children and adolescents cannot read. (Source : Unesco.org). Many factors still limit access to school: poverty, discrimination, conflict, and for the past 2 years, the COVID-19 pandemic. However, an equitable and inclusive education is essential for the proper development of children, to help them have a promising future! Education is an essential tool for the economic, social and cultural development of all peoples in the world.

Why is this day important to us?

Being useful to the good development of children is our raison d'être. From the beginning, we have put design at the service of education to design games that provide skills and develop intellectual faculties.
Education is at the center of our creative process ; we work in collaboration with child and education specialists (school teachers, occupational therapists) to provide benefits that meet the needs of children, to help them grow well.

  • Pix was created to develop children's attention and concentration skills, necessary skills that help them in all of their learning. With this construction game, we also transmit values: sharing, the collaboration, mutual aid and eco-responsibility.
  • Our bath toys Great were created to develop the autonomy of children and help them learn about hygiene.

Our mission is to support as many children as possible around the world through our educational games. Already more than 75,000 play Piks, whether at school, at home, in a specialized establishment or in the hospital; everyone should have access to learning through games!

We are proud to accompany the adults of tomorrow to help them grow well and accomplish great things!
